I participated in Cedar Ridge Community Church's Contemplative Retreat August 19-20, 2006 at Bon Secours Spiritual Center in Marriottsville, Maryland. While there I walked on their Labyrinth. These are my reflections immediately afterwards.

Oh gracious Lord, who finds so many ways to refresh us. Thank you for this way of the Labyrinth.

At first, I thought I was walking alone on this Labyrinth. Then I realized you, Lord, were walking beside me like a loving parent guides a young one as s/he learns how to walk.

You, Lord, guided me safely to the Center, the awesome realization of your presence in its fullness. I didn't know how long the journey would take or where I was on it, but I was in your reassuring presence, so that did not matter.

Then you drew me outward slowly, so that I could gain confidence to live your Life in the world.

Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Jesus.

i'm glad you had such a meaningful labyrinth experience. i cant wait to get to Heaven so i can ask God why the heck labyrinths are so darn cool! lol.

There is a labyrinth less than an hour from where I live. I have tried to find it a few times and finally have located it, but haven't visited. I would be interested in hearing more about this retreat you participated in. I have often thought I would like to visit the DC area and CRCC. Not too far from NC.
